The Australian Army is in the process of acquiring a new Protected Mobility Vehicle-Light (PMV-L) Capability. The PMV-L provides a vehicle that offers superior protections for the occupants while still providing an outstanding level of mobility for a helicopter transportable vehicle.
The Australian Army has gone through an extensive evaluation process and the Hawkei vehicle offered by Thales Australia was selected over a number of competing vehicles. Under the current stage of the project the Hawkei vehicle will be further developed and subject to a rigorous Test and Evaluation program. Nova Systems is contracted by Thales Australia to design and assist with the T&E program to be conducted by the Australian Army.
Nova Systems has assembled an outstanding team of T&E professionals to deliver the program. This team has worked with both the design engineers from Thales Australia and the customer representatives from the Australian Army to design a T&E program that will ensure that the Hawkei vehicle is thoroughly assessed across the full range of the contracted specification. A major development project for a new vehicle requires a wide range of specialist from the manufacturer, suppliers and the customer all working in a highly cooperative environment with a very clear and common goal.
