It marks a significant advancement in the accessibility of geospatial data for diverse applications across Australia to both the government and public.
Launched today, the Digital Atlas, powered by an Integrated Geospatial Infrastructure (IGI), offers users from all sectors the capability to explore, analyse, and visualise crucial data related to Australia’s geography, people, economy, and environment.
By making complex data easily accessible, the Digital Atlas empowers government agencies, businesses, and communities to make well-informed decisions that are critical for planning, infrastructure, and strategic investments at every level.
Nova Systems has been instrumental in supporting Geoscience Australia in the development and delivery of the Digital Atlas. Nova’s team of expert geospatial engineers, software developers, and consultants, has significantly contributed to the data publishing and governance, quality, and the creation of visualisations that underpin this powerful tool.
Nova Systems’ General Manager Geospatial, Danny Haipola, said: “The Digital Atlas is a critical piece of national capability to meet Australia’s future challenges using a data-driven approach.
“We’re proud of the work Nova Systems has delivered to support the delivery of this innovative new tool that will be the authoritative source of information for government agencies, facilitating informed place-based decisions across the board.
