The changes make Nova’s policy one of the most competitive in industry and is part of the company’s Employee Value Proposition.
Key Enhancements include:
Extended Paid Parental Leave for Primary Carers from 12 weeks to 20 weeks, with the option to take this at half pay.
Improved Paid Parental Leave for Partner Carers who now receive 4 weeks of paid leave at full pay, with the option to take this at half pay.
Reduced Eligibility Period from 12 months to the completion of probation, at the time of birth or adoption.
“This policy is designed to offer comprehensive support to our employees and their families as they welcome a new child into their lives,” Chief People Officer, Shelley Willsmore, said.
“The changes we are implementing reflect our commitment to fostering a family-friendly workplace and ensuring that our employees have the necessary time and resources to enjoy this important phase of their lives.”
Glenn Ong, Deputy Delivery Manager Land Domain IWP, is among the first to benefit from the policy.
“Nova's updated policy will allow me to spend more time at home with our first child and support my wife in her recovery.
“The increased period of paid parental leave means I can even consider taking primary caregiver responsibilities when the baby is born.”
