The high-altitude long range UAS will provide 24/7 maritime surveillance to help keep our nation safe and secure.
Nova Systems’ Aerospace, Surveillance and Response (ASR) team has been involved in the project for more than six years supporting CASG. Specifically, the Future Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance System Program Office (FISRSPO), in the acquisition of Triton.
“The arrival of the first Triton in Australia is a significant achievement for all Novans who have supported its acquisition over the past six years,” ASR Portfolio Manager Paul Mulcahy said. “They should all be proud of their contribution as their involvement will further advance the ADF’s capabilities in the protection of Australia and its national interests.”
The team is continuing to provide a wide range of support for the Triton’s acquisition including engineering, logistics, commercial, facilities, project and risk management, working with Royal Australian Air Force and Northrop Grumman Australia to deliver this vital defence capability for Australia.
This is the first of four Tritons to be delivered to Australia.
The team will now continue to focus on delivering support elements for this capability, including its mission systems, facilities, training systems, engineering certification and logistics pipelines.
