Nova Systems Space Precinct Ground segment services to satellite owners and operators. The Nova Systems Space Precinct supports various global ground systems providing connectivity to satellites in low earth orbit. Our systems support a range of applications including satellite communications (SATCOM) and Space Domain Awareness (SDA).

Nova Systems Space Precinct: Our Space Precinct delivers ground segment services to satellite owners and operators. With our first facility operational, and a planned series of satellite ground segment facilities strategically located around Australia, the Space Precinct meets the needs of current and future Low Earth Orbit (LEO), Medium Earth Orbit (MEO) and Geostationary Orbit (GEO) small satellite missions. The Space Precinct offers LEO and MEO users an attractive and convenient way to overcome the current bottleneck in ground station capacity for satellite operators. As an Australian-owned capability focused on future trends in the marketplace, the Space Precinct will provide unique support to the National and International Space 2.0 Industry. Space 2.0 Compatibility Designed for market compatibility with the ever-increasing launch of satellites and constellations in LEO, MEO and GEO orbits. Networked Operations Plans for geographically dispersed ground stations across the Australian mainland harmonised through a centralised Monitoring and Control (M&C). Continuous Operations Operational 365 days a year on a 24/7 basis. Remotely Controlled Ground station sites remotely controlled by a Canberra based Network Operations Centre (NOC) and Adelaide based Backup Network Operations Centre (BNOC). Book passes and retrieve data via a web-based portal. Information Assurance Sites designed to meet the standards of physical security and information assurance to cater for the needs of both commercial and Defence clients. Ground Station Testbed A highly capable Research & Development testbed for organisations to try out new concepts and ideas. Ground Station as a Service Leverage ground segment infrastructure managed and maintained by Nova Systems, including antennas, complete RF chain and baseband equipment. Fully Hosted Customer Equipment Bring your own antennas, RF and baseband equipment to be hosted within a physically secure enclave on-site. Backhaul connectivity available at Canberra NOC, Adelaide BNOC, or a third-party location if required. Third Party Brokered Access Linked to third party brokering organisations who take care of the customer interface and needs, if preferred, to provide access to our capability as part of a global capability on a regular or ad-hoc basis.

Special Missions We provide a wide range of special mission design and production services including complete special mission conversions, mission management systems, bespoke mission consoles, mission system installations, tactical response systems, mission seating, waterproof temporary floor and seat covers, cargo and equipment restraint systems, airborne geophysical survey installations and NVIS compatible lighting systems. General Repairs and Modifications We provide general support including aircraft repairs and modifications, entry to service modifications, return to lessor services, fleet modification and configuration control, and AOG Support. Weight and Balance Management We provide a wide range of aircraft weight and balance management services including aircraft weighs, production and approval of manual and electronic loading systems, aircraft loading and ground stability studies, management of airline fleet weight and balance documentation and management of aircraft fleet weight systems.
