Rowan Carter Receives Director HALSPO Commendation

Congratulations to Rowan Carter who has been commended on outstanding professionalism and commitment as a member of the Engineering Management Unit within Heavy Air Lift Systems Program Office (HALSPO).
The commendation reads:
“Your technical excellence, tenacity and dedication to the KC-30A Receiver Clearance program have directly contributed to an increased level of capability for the KC-30A fleet. Your superior efforts have resulted in the establishment of robust processes and procedures, as well as the successful approval of several ADF and international Air-Air refuelling Clearances, including E-7A Wedgetail, C-17A Globemaster and F-35A Joint Strike Fighter. Your contribution has had a direct impact, not only for the KC-30A, but for the broader ADF Capability and Air-Air Refueling globally.
Your dedication, team spirit-de-corp and pro-active approach have brought great credit on yourself, the Capability Acquisition Sustainability Group and Australian aerospace community. You should be rightly proud of the contribution you have made to the KC-30A capability.”

Kristen Raby delivers keynote at 201 Women in Aviation/Aerospace Australia Summit

Nova Systems attended the 201 Women in Aviation/Aerospace Australia Summit held on Wednesday the 18th of October at the RACV City Club in Melbourne.
With a focus on diversity, the event explored critical mass, the importance of engaging men in gender equality, strategies to increase diversity in non-traditional roles and the tangible outcomes that are being achieved in the Aerospace/Aviation industry.
Kristen Raby delivered the Aviation Keynote, and spoke about her experiences in Flight Test and within Nova Systems in Operations and as chair of the Nova IDEAL (Inclusion, Diversity, Equality, Action and Leadership) Committee.

Matt Winnell receives FFGSPO Commendation

Congratulations to Matt Winnell on the award of a Commendation from the FFGSPO Director, CAPT B Smith RAN, for his outstanding performance in the management of the MH-60R Seahawk Romeo integration to FFG’s.
The commendation reads:
“Your dedicated efforts ensured that the necessary requirements were met in order to achieve endorsement for the embarkation of the MH60R in the Adelaide Class FFGs, providing a significant capability to Navy for future operational requirements. In the face of challenging design constraints and extremely tight deadlines, you consistently provided sound solutions through effective management and resourcefulness. You coordinated large groups of stakeholders, and proposed multiple courses of action to effect difficult engineering changes and in doing so delivered outstanding service to achieve impressive outcomes. Your engineering expertise and ability to manage multiple concurrent complex projects to achieve MH60R integration has made you an invaluable asset to the FFG Enterprise.”

Chief of Navy visits Nova Systems at PAC

We were delighted to welcome Vice Admiral Tim Barrett, Chief of Royal Australian Navy to the Nova Systems stand during PACIFIC Conference this week, to celebrate our 2017 partnership with the Royal Australian Navy Rugby Union (RAN RU) teams.
The RAN RU has a long and strong history dating back over 100 years. Nova Systems are delighted to have the opportunity to support an organisation with so much history, that has so many impressive athletes who very professionally strive to develop and drive a strong team culture.
