Nova Systems starts the 'The Long Ride' for Canteen

Aug 15, 2017

Today 13 courageous Novans set off on a gruelling 1080km cycle from Adelaide, South Australia to Melbourne, Victoria via the Coorong and the Great Ocean Road, all in the name of charity and driven by our collective passion to make a difference in our community.

With thanks to the generosity of the Nova family, the team exceeded their initial fundraising goal of $15,000 to help their chosen charity CanTeen continue their important work. CanTeen supports young people aged 12 to 25 living with cancer; not just those directly afflicted but also children, siblings and friends of cancer sufferers. Just when life should be full of possibilities, cancer can crash into a young person’s world and turn it upside down; CanTeen is the game changer.

Supported by remote-area tracking technology supplied by Auspace, a Nova Group business, the Nova team will battle inclement weather and winding roads along their 9 day journey to arrive in Melbourne in time for the commencement of the annual Nova Group ANZ Conference.

Participants include Rob Starbuck, Peter Wilson, JP Patacca, Jane Hung, Andrew Schuelke, Andy Cowley, Natalie Mules, Doug Mein, Wayne Taylor, Kevin Cachia, Chris Luhrs, and Board Member Hugh Burrill.
