CASG Joint Project 9101 was tasked with the modernisation and development of an enhanced defence high frequency communications system. The long-range high frequency system is an important sovereign and self-sufficient Defence capability for whole of Government. Its purpose is to communicate regionally and globally, and partner with other Australian Defence Force long range communications capabilities. CASG required specialised resources to develop project management and technical and test Gate 0 documentation.
In 2016, Nova Systems was engaged to assist with the development of Gate 0 documentation for the project and provided the expertise required to deliver the Gate. Nova Systems specialised support resulted in the successful completion of the Gate 0 ahead of schedule. Subsequently, Nova Systems was further engaged to support the coordination and development of Gate 1 documentation for the project.
Providing a team of over 15 highly experienced technical, test and evaluation, and project management professionals, Nova Systems supported both the Vice Chief Defence Force Group and CASG in the development of the Gate 1 documentation. Working with their partners, Nova Systems quickly built a team to ensure that the Commonwealth met all its critical milestones. Nova Systems worked with Commonwealth personnel in a collegiate manner to ensure that any stakeholder issues were quickly resolved, and program risks mitigated.
Nova Systems successfully supported the delivery of the Gate 0 and 1 project documentation and was rewarded with the transition of a Major Service Provider Integrated Work Package for ongoing support.
