Our goals were crystal clear:
To be an all-in-one facility for design, production and maintenance of Special Mission Aircraft.
To be a leading integrator of innovative equipment into rotary wing Search and Rescue operations.
To trial new technologies for adoption in critical life-saving mission systems.
Our visionary design and integration engineers, project managers and supply chain team have provided us with a competitive, high-quality Special Missions foundation fit for the future, and the Corsham Facility has gone from strength to strength as a result.
We opened the doors to the SIL when we were in the planning and design stages across two critical Search and Rescue contracts with Bristow, supporting the Dutch Caribbean Coast Guard and the UK Second Generation Search and Rescue programme.
Fast-forward a year, and we’re running at pace – we have operational mission systems in place and have quickly become a vital test-bed for customers and suppliers to analyse how new technologies can enhance SAR operations.
We’ve also signed further mission system integrator contracts with Bristow for the Irish Search and Rescue Service, and we are now positioned as one of the largest providers of independent mission systems for rotary wing aircraft in Europe, delivering world class mission system support solutions for 26 rotary wing aircraft.
The future is looking incredibly bright – through the expansion of our workforce in Corsham, the ongoing success of our Integration team and the innovative growth of our Special Missions capabilities, we are positioned to continue to support the lifesaving, law enforcement and ISR work of Operators across both sides of the Atlantic.
