Nova Systems and ElectraNet at the PMI Awards
- Jun 6, 2017
Nova Systems was invited by ElectraNet to attend the Project Management Institute (PMI) Gala Awards on 29th May, at Sheraton on the Park in Sydney, in appreciation of our contribution toward ElectraNet being recognised as a finalist in the category of ‘Best Project Management Office’. ElectraNet was runner up on the night, which is a fantastic achievement.
The Nova Systems team of Lachlan McInnes, Jemille Jenkins and Wayne Taylor played a significant role in the project to redevelop ElectraNet’s project and engineering management systems, with emphasis on scalability and efficiency in the way ElectraNet develops and maintains its electricity network into the future.
Turner & Townsend was the lead consultant responsible for redevelopment of the project management framework and Nova Systems provided specialist consulting services for redevelopment of the engineering management system, which involved interfacing the EMS with the PMS, reviewing the engineering policies and procedures, re-designing a streamlined EMS for future project delivery and developing and delivering EMS training for ElectraNet engineering and project staff. The end result was a new ‘ElectraNet Way’ of delivering its electricity network capital investment program. This new way is termed SPARQ – Standardised Projects Assuring Risk and Quality.
