Nova Systems is a gold sponsor for the 2019 0xCC conference!
Taking place on the 26 and 27 April 2019 in Melbourne, 0xCC is an infosec, cyber security training conference for women by women.
0xCC is a free technical training conference designed to encourage and support women in the industry as well as those looking to join by providing an opportunity to upskill, build networks and to create a space for open dialogue.
In 2017, a study showed that women only make up 11% of the Cyber security workforce. 0xCC strongly believes the best way to help diversify in the industry is to build skills and create a place for discussion so everyone can come out with a more well-rounded perspective around issues and information security.
The event enables free training courses for 130 attendees, with sponsorship money going towards venue costs and travel grants allowing attendees to access the training who would otherwise be unable to afford travel and accommodation in Melbourne.
Importantly, while it’s a women-only conference, the organisers have gone to great lengths to ensure it’s not viewed as exclusionary and it’s being run to address one of the critical issues facing information security as a whole – the pipeline of skilled, qualified and enthusiastic people into the industry.
